Configure Windows 10 File Explorer to Open in the This PC View

In Windows 10, File Explorer opens by default in the new ‘Quick Access’ view. The Quick Access view, shows users their frequently accessed folders and documents.

The following steps shows how to configure File Explorer to open in the This PC view as default view instead of Quick Access view

  Step 1: Open the File Explorer window and click the View tab from the Ribbon Toolbar.

  Step 2: In the View tab, click on Options on the right side of the ribbon.

  Step 3: In the Folder Options, General tab window. Find Open File Explorer to: Click the drop-down              menu and change to This PC from Quick Access. Click Apply to save your changes and close              the window.

You're done. Now, the File Explorer window will open in the This PC view as default.
